Speed matters everywhere in hockey. Speed Accelerator™ helps your player build a quicker first step and more explosive acceleration so they can get to loose pucks first and create more separation.
Strong legs only help if your player can transfer that force into the ice. We train the ankles and hips to create a stronger base so more of their power actually shows up in their stride.
The season is long, and players can lose strength and power if they stop training. In-Season Domination helps your player keep building those qualities without piling too much onto an already busy schedule.
Coach Tim has worked with athletes in:
(And plenty of youth athletes, too.)
You want your kid to be faster on the ice. Not just a little faster. Noticeably faster. Faster first steps, more explosiveness, and the ability to create a little more separation when they need it.
But here's what a lot of families run into:
Once the season starts, your player is skating a lot. Practices, games, maybe some extra skills or power skating. So it feels like they're already doing everything they need to keep getting faster.
The problem is, playing more hockey doesn't automatically develop all of the strength, power, and speed qualities that actually help a player become faster. And if your player did work hard on those things during the off-season, they can slowly lose some of that progress if they stop training them completely once the season starts.
That doesn't mean your kid needs to be doing four or five workouts a week on top of hockey. They shouldn't be. The season is already busy enough.
But one or two well-designed, hockey-specific training sessions each week can help them continue developing the qualities that matter for speed while still fitting around practices, games, school, and everything else going on.
That's exactly why In-Season Domination '26 exists: to give your player a real system for continuing to build speed, strength, and power throughout the season without piling a bunch of extra training onto an already busy schedule.
Stick with it and within a few weeks you'll start to notice it. A quicker first step. More explosiveness through each stride. More strength and stability in their skating. And more confidence knowing they're actually working on the things that can help them become faster.
I built this because I've been exactly where your kid is.
Here's my story:
When I was younger, hockey was everything to me. But no matter how much effort I put in, I couldn't seem to reach the next level.
Year after year, I watched teammates and friends move up while I stayed stuck. After being cut from my local AAA team for the fifth straight year, I hit rock bottom.
I still remember walking into that coach's room, stomach tight, hands shaking. And then hearing those words: "We're going with other guys this year." It crushed me.
I started thinking maybe hockey just wasn't my thing.
Looking back now, I'm grateful for that moment. Not because things turned around right away. They didn't. After that fifth cut, I kind of gave up on the dream. I still played, but I wasn't really pushing myself anymore.
But here's what I wish I'd known back then:
Hard work alone wasn't enough without the right plan.
I was shooting pucks in my driveway, doing basement workouts, and taking power skating lessons on weekends. But none of it was actually making me faster on the ice.
So I stopped winging it.
Instead of random drills that just felt hard, I shifted to hockey-specific training that actually moves the needle: explosive plyometrics for first-step quickness, lateral drills that mimicked skating movements, and targeted ankle work that builds the stability you need to generate power in your stride.
I followed an actual plan instead of just showing up and hoping for the best. It looked nothing like the squats, sit-ups, and push-ups I'd been doing before.
Things started to click.
It didn't happen overnight. But over time, I noticed small wins. My first steps felt quicker. My shot got harder. I was beating defenders who used to shut me down every time.
Then those small wins started stacking up.
I think about that 12, 13, 14-year-old version of myself all the time. The one who was grinding but didn't know how to get better. The one who eventually gave up because he couldn't figure it out on his own.
If I'd had the right training and the right guidance back then, things could've been different. Not just for my hockey career, but for my confidence and how I showed up in all areas of my life.
That's why I started HockeyTraining.com: to help players experience that same breakthrough without spending years stuck in the cycle I was trapped in.
Now, over a decade later, we're launching the 9th edition of our flagship in-season program.
And the results speak for themselves:
For this year's program, Tim Lebbossiere, Assistant Strength Coach for the Boston Bruins, has upgraded the entire training system. Tim programs speed development for NHL players. This year, he took everything he's learned and built his most complete system yet — the Speed Accelerator™ system, designed around the short, explosive bursts that actually decide hockey games.

The Science-Backed System to Unlock Next-Level Speed
Hockey players can't train for speed the same way other athletes do.
Running faster, jumping higher, and getting stronger are all great. But skating is different.
Every stride starts with your player pushing force through their hips, down through their legs, through their ankles, and ultimately into the ice through a thin skate blade.
If the hips aren't strong and stable enough to produce force from a low skating position, or the ankles can't stay strong as that force reaches the ice, some of that power gets lost.
I think of these as power leaks.
Your player can have strong legs and plenty of power, but if they can't efficiently transfer that power into the ice, they're leaving speed on the table.
That's why Speed Accelerator™ doesn't just focus on making your player stronger or more powerful. We specifically train the ankles and hips to build a stronger base, then develop strength, power, and speed on top of it.
Because the goal isn't just to make your player a better athlete.
It's to make them a faster hockey player.
Getting faster isn't just about getting stronger.
Your player needs to be able to produce a lot of force, but they also need to be able to produce that force quickly.
That's why Speed Accelerator™ is built around two main training days each week.
The first is Acceleration + Strength.
This is where we focus on short accelerations and building the strength your player needs to put more force into the ground. Hockey isn't a game of 100-yard sprints. Most of the time, your player is accelerating over a few quick strides to get to a loose puck, close space on another player, or create separation.
The second is Speed + Power.
Here we're taking that strength and teaching your player to use it faster through explosive movements like jumps, throws, swings, and short sprint variations.
And all of this is built on the ankle and hip work I talked about above, so we're not just trying to create more power. We're trying to help your player transfer that power where it actually matters: into the ice.
Of course, during the season, what you train is only part of the equation. You also have to make sure the training actually fits around hockey.
That's why the program gives your player up to four workouts per week, but they're ranked by importance so you always know what to prioritize.
If your player can only fit in one workout that week, do the most important one. If they can fit in two, you know exactly which two to choose. And if they have a lighter week and are recovering well, they can add the extra sessions.
That's important during the season because every week is different. Some weeks you might have one game. Other weeks you might have three games, extra practices, a tournament, school stuff, or everything all at once.
The structure is there to help your player keep progressing without making training another thing your family has to stress about.
And that flexibility is important for another reason: I want your player to actually want to do this.
A Quick Note on Motivation
This program is designed for players who want to get better. If your kid is motivated to improve and excited to put in some extra work, we'll give them a great plan to follow.
But if they're not there yet, that's okay, too.
One thing I really try to do with the players is explain why we're doing the training in the first place. Why we're working on their ankles. Why we're building strength. Why a certain exercise can help them become faster on the ice.
I think kids are a lot more likely to buy into training when they understand what they're working toward instead of just being handed a workout and told to do it.
At the same time, I can give you the best training program in the world, but if you're constantly having to force your kid to do it, I don't think that's going to help much in the long run.
Give them the opportunity, encourage them, and let them see what training is all about. But ultimately, I want the motivation to come from them.
Hockey should be fun first. And when a kid starts to realize that putting in a little extra work can help them get faster, feel more confident, and become a better player, that's when training can become something they actually want to do.

Speed Accelerator™ and this In-Season Domination '26 Training Program were created by Boston Bruins' Assistant Performance Coach, Tim Lebbossiere.
Tim is in his fourth season as the Boston Bruins' Assistant Performance Coach, following three seasons as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the minor league affiliate, the Providence Bruins.
He graduated in 2016 with a BS in Applied Exercise Science from Springfield College and in 2019 with an MS in Human Performance from Lindenwood University.
Before his time with the Bruins organization, Tim also spent time with University of Massachusetts Lowell, Quinnipiac University, College of the Holy Cross, and USA Hockey, working with their hockey programs.
Over his career, Tim has helped countless hockey players transform their performance, and we are excited to do the same for your kid with our new In-Season Domination '26 System.

I’ve spent over a decade helping hockey players reach their potential by testing training systems, guiding athletes, and studying under some of the top minds in the sport.
I didn’t make AAA growing up. Not because I didn't work hard, but because I didn’t know how to train like a hockey player. I had the passion, but I lacked the right guidance. That experience taught me two important things: what actually works, and how it feels to be overlooked, frustrated, and unsure how to improve.
That’s why I created Hockey Training. To give players what I wish I had at their age: a clear plan, a personal mentor, and the support to stay consistent when motivation dips. My mission is simple. Help players train smarter, believe in themselves, and enjoy the process. When they do, the on-ice success and confidence follow naturally.
Helping young hockey players unlock their full potential is my passion. And that includes your player, a kid who loves the game and genuinely wants to get better.
Here's what most parents are up against:
General fitness programs range widely in price, but they're not built for hockey players. They won't help your kid develop explosive skating, hockey-specific conditioning, or the skills that actually translate to the ice.
Personal trainers typically charge between $35 and $100+ per session. If your kid trains twice a week, you're looking at anywhere from $3,600 to over $10,000+ per year. And here's the kicker: most trainers have no idea how to train young hockey players. Your kid ends up doing standard gym workouts that might make them stronger, but don't do much for their game.
The reality is, most hockey-specific training is either way too expensive or way too generic to actually move the needle.
Today, you can get the complete In-Season Domination '26 program powered by our Speed Accelerator™ system for just $50/month inside our Hockey Domination membership.
But we didn't stop there.
We wanted to make sure your player has everything they need to not just get faster and stronger, but also sharpen their hands and shot all in one place. So we're including three additional training components with your Hockey Domination membership:
To put that in perspective: $50/month is less than the cost of two personal training sessions, yet you're getting a complete hockey-specific development system with skills training, mindset work, and nutrition guidance included.
Here's the reality:
You have two choices in front of you.
Option 1: Keep doing what you're doing. Let your player train the same way (or not at all) and hope things just click on their own. Maybe they'll figure it out eventually. Maybe they won't.
Option 2: Give them the structured plan, coaching support, and accountability they need to get faster, stronger, and more confident on the ice without adding hours to your week or theirs.
I've seen both paths play out hundreds of times over the last decade. And I can tell you, the kids who get the right guidance early are the ones who break through and start playing with real confidence, while the ones who wait often spend years frustrated and stuck.
I want to see your player become the hockey player they're capable of being, one who dominates their shifts, makes plays under pressure, and loves the game even more.

How Long Will It Take To See Results?
With Speed Accelerator™, some players, especially those newer to training, will start to feel changes pretty quickly. They may feel stronger, more explosive, or just more comfortable with the movements within the first couple of weeks.
But the bigger changes come from stacking good weeks together.
Speed, strength, and power all take time to build, and during the season we’re purposely not trying to crush your player with a ton of training. The goal is steady progress that fits around hockey.
Give it 6–8 weeks, and you should start to notice more tangible changes. Quicker first steps. More power through their stride. Better strength and stability through the ankles and hips.
And if they keep training consistently throughout the season, those small improvements can really add up.
What If I'm Not Happy With The Program or Results?
We stand behind In-Season Domination '26 with our "Faster First Steps" Guarantee because we believe your child deserves a training program that delivers real results and keeps them motivated.
We’re confident you’ll see the difference it makes on and off the ice. But if, after giving it an honest try, you’re not seeing the progress you expected, just reach out within 60 days, and we’ll make it right with a full refund.
Our team is here to support you every step of the way because your child’s development (and enjoyment) matters to us.
