Help Your Kid Skate Faster Than Ever—Without Needing More Ice Time.

Unlock Explosive Speed, Elite Conditioning, and Game-Changing Confidence to Dominate Next Season

No More Losing Footraces

Without explosive power, players fall behind. With Speed Accelerator™ training, they develop the quickness, strength, and control to win races, make plays, and take over the game.

No More Running Out of Gas

You’ve seen it: by the second or third period, some players fade while others keep flying. Our conditioning-focused training helps your player stay explosive from start to finish.

No More Getting Overlooked

Players who don’t stand out get stuck on the bench. We help your child build the speed, strength, and confidence to dominate their shifts and make coaches take notice.

Coach Tim has worked with athletes in:

(And plenty of youth athletes, too.)

You want your kid to be faster on the ice. Not just a little faster. Noticeably faster. The kind of fast where other parents start asking what they've been doing.

But here's what most families run into:

Your kid trains hard all summer, maybe some skating lessons, a few camps, some workouts they found online, and then steps on the ice in September feeling... about the same. Maybe a little stronger, but not the kind of jump that actually changes how they play.

It's not because they didn't work hard. It's because most off-ice training isn't designed around how hockey speed actually works.

That's exactly why Off-Season Domination '26 exists: to give your player a real system for building the speed, power, and conditioning that translates to the ice in focused workouts that fit around your family's summer schedule.

Stick with it, and within a few weeks you'll start to see real changes. Faster first steps. More explosiveness on every stride. The ability to separate from defenders and win races to the puck. And that confidence that comes from knowing they've actually put in the work.

I built this because I've been exactly where your kid is.

Here's my story:

After Five Years of Getting Cut, I Realized Something

When I was younger, hockey was everything to me. But no matter how much effort I put in, I couldn't seem to reach the next level.

Year after year, I watched teammates and friends move up while I stayed stuck. After being cut from my local AAA team for the fifth straight year, I hit rock bottom.

I still remember walking into that coach's room, stomach tight, hands shaking. And then hearing those words: "We're going with other guys this year." It crushed me.

I started thinking maybe hockey just wasn't my thing.

Looking back now, I'm grateful for that moment. Not because things turned around right away. They didn't. After that fifth cut, I kind of gave up on the dream. I still played, but I wasn't really pushing myself anymore.

But here's what I wish I'd known back then: hard work alone wasn't enough without the right plan.

I was shooting pucks in my driveway, doing basement workouts, and taking power skating lessons on weekends. But none of it was actually making me faster on the ice.

So I stopped winging it.

Instead of random drills that just felt hard, I shifted to hockey-specific training that actually moves the needle: explosive plyometrics for first-step quickness, lateral drills that mimicked skating movements, and targeted ankle work that builds the stability you need to generate power in your stride

I followed an actual plan instead of just showing up and hoping for the best. It looked nothing like the squats, sit-ups, and push-ups I'd been doing before.

Things started to click.

It didn't happen overnight. But over time, I noticed small wins. My first steps felt quicker. My shot got harder. I was beating defenders who used to shut me down every time.

Then those small wins started stacking up.

I think about that 12, 13, 14-year-old version of myself all the time. The one who was grinding but didn't know how to get better. The one who eventually gave up because he couldn't figure it out on his own.

If I'd had the right training and the right guidance back then, things could've been different. Not just for my hockey career, but for my confidence and how I showed up in all areas of my life.

That's why I started HockeyTraining.com: to help players experience that same breakthrough without spending years stuck in the cycle I was trapped in.

Now, over a decade later, we're launching the 10th edition of our flagship off-season program.

And the results speak for themselves:

For this year's program, I brought in Tim Lebbossiere, Assistant Strength Coach for the Boston Bruins, to build the entire training system. Tim programs speed development for NHL players. This year, he took everything he's learned and built his most complete system yet — the Speed Accelerator™ system, designed around the short, explosive bursts that actually decide hockey games.

Introducing...

The Science-Backed System to Unlock Next-Level Speed and Agility

Most young players train hard in the off-season. They do camps, skate, maybe hit the gym. But when September rolls around, the speed gains they were hoping for just aren't there.

It's not because they didn't put in the work. It's because most off-ice training isn't designed around how hockey speed actually works.

Hockey isn't played in long sprints. It's short, explosive bursts. 5, 10, 15 yards at a time. A race to a loose puck. A first step that creates separation. A quick change of direction that leaves a defender flat-footed. The player who reaches top speed first wins the race.

And no single type of training builds all of that. You need to hit it from every angle: sprint mechanics, power, strength, change of direction, upper body coordination, and recovery that lets the body actually adapt between hard sessions.

That's how the Speed Accelerator system is structured. Three training days per week, each one with a specific job:

Speed Accelerator A is your primary speed day. Acceleration-based sprints, explosive jumps, and strength work all designed to mirror the joint angles and ground contact times of on-ice skating. Every piece of this day is built to make your player faster from Point A to Point B.
Speed Accelerator B is your upper body speed day. Your arm swing directly affects how forcefully you extend your hip on each stride. The two are connected through your fascia. A more powerful upper body means a more powerful stride. You'll also build the strength to win puck battles and absorb contact.
Speed Accelerator C is your change-of-direction and conditioning day. Hockey isn't played in straight lines. This day builds the ability to decelerate and re-accelerate in a new direction, hypertrophy work for more force production on every stride, and lactic conditioning that teaches the body to tolerate lactic acid and clear it out faster. That's what keeps your player explosive late in a shift when everyone else is fading.

The youth program runs three days per week. That's intentional. For players under 13, three focused training days is the sweet spot. Enough to build real speed and strength, without overloading a body that's still growing.

If a week gets busy with camps, family trips, or tournaments, the program is built to flex. Every workout matters, but missing one won't set your player back.

Stick with it, and within a few weeks you'll start to see real changes. Faster first steps. More power in their stride. The ability to separate from defenders and win races to pucks they weren't getting to before.

A Quick Note on Motivation

This program is designed for players who want to get better. If your kid is motivated to improve and excited to put in the work, it will support them every step of the way.

But if they're not there yet? That's totally okay. Fun and passion should always come first.

I can hand you the best training program in the world, but if your kid isn't the one driving it, it won't stick. Lasting progress only happens when the motivation comes from within, not from a parent pushing them into something they're not ready for.

We believe the best training happens when it's driven by the player, not the parent. That's a message we stand behind with every program we put out.

Meet Your Coaches

Coach Tim

Speed Accelerator™ and this Off-Season Domination '26 Training Program were created by Boston Bruins' Assistant Performance Coach, Tim Lebbossiere.

Tim is in his fourth season as the Boston Bruins' Assistant Performance Coach, following three seasons as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the minor league affiliate, the Providence Bruins.

He graduated in 2016 with a BS in Applied Exercise Science from Springfield College and in 2019 with an MS in Human Performance from Lindenwood University.

Before his time with the Bruins organization, Tim also spent time with University of Massachusetts Lowell, Quinnipiac University, College of the Holy Cross, and USA Hockey, working with their hockey programs.

Over his career, Tim has helped countless hockey players transform their performance, and we are excited to do the same for your kid with our new Off-Season Domination '26 System.

Coach Kevin

I’ve spent over a decade helping hockey players reach their potential by testing training systems, guiding athletes, and studying under some of the top minds in the sport.

I didn’t make AAA growing up. Not because I didn't work hard, but because I didn’t know how to train like a hockey player. I had the passion, but I lacked the right guidance. That experience taught me two important things: what actually works, and how it feels to be overlooked, frustrated, and unsure how to improve.

That’s why I created Hockey Training. To give players what I wish I had at their age: a clear plan, a personal mentor, and the support to stay consistent when motivation dips. My mission is simple. Help players train smarter, believe in themselves, and enjoy the process. When they do, the on-ice success and confidence follow naturally.

What Your Options Actually Look Like

Helping young hockey players unlock their full potential is my passion. And that includes your player, a kid who loves the game and genuinely wants to get better.

Here's what most parents are up against:

General fitness programs range widely in price, but they're not built for hockey players. They won't help your kid develop explosive skating, hockey-specific conditioning, or the skills that actually translate to the ice.

Personal trainers typically charge between $35 and $100+ per session. If your kid trains twice a week, you're looking at anywhere from $3,600 to over $10,000+ per year. And here's the kicker: most trainers have no idea how to train young hockey players. Your kid ends up doing standard gym workouts that might make them stronger, but don't do much for their game.

The reality is, most hockey-specific training is either way too expensive or way too generic to actually move the needle.

Today, you can get the complete Youth Off-Season Domination '26 program powered by our Speed Accelerator™ system for just $50/month inside our Hockey Domination membership.

But we didn't stop there.

We wanted to make sure your player has everything they need to not just get faster and stronger, but also sharpen their hands and shot all in one place. So we're including three additional training components with your Hockey Domination membership:

Skills Training Library — Follow-along stickhandling and shooting sessions your player can do at home to keep their hands sharp and release quick
Bulletproof Hockey Mindset Training — Mental performance strategies to help them play with confidence and handle pressure
Follow Along Workout Videos — Full video sessions where your player trains alongside Coach Kevin step by step. A great option for kids who stay more engaged with a coach guiding them through every rep.

To put that in perspective: $50/month is less than the cost of two personal training sessions, yet you're getting a complete hockey-specific development system with follow along workout videos, and skills coaching included.

Here's the reality:

You have two choices in front of you.

Option 1: Keep doing what you're doing. Let your player train the same way (or not at all) and hope things just click on their own. Maybe they'll figure it out eventually. Maybe they won't.

Option 2: Give them the structured plan, coaching support, and accountability they need to get faster, stronger, and more confident on the ice without adding hours to your week or theirs.

I've seen both paths play out hundreds of times over the last decade. And I can tell you, the kids who get the right guidance early are the ones who break through and start playing with real confidence, while the ones who wait often spend years frustrated and stuck.

I want to see your player become the hockey player they're capable of being, one who dominates their shifts, makes plays under pressure, and loves the game even more.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Equipment Do I Need Access To For The Training?

No special equipment needed! Off-Season Domination ‘26 is built for easy, effective training at home.

All your child needs is a small space and a few common household items (like a towel). While some workouts include optional outdoor elements for extra space and variety, the majority of the training can be done right in your living room, basement, or garage.

After years of working with youth hockey players who train from home, we’ve gotten extremely innovative with how we design our workouts, so even without equipment, your child can build real hockey speed, strength, and conditioning.

What Age Group Is This Program For?

We specifically built it with 12–13-year-old athletes in mind. That said, motivated and mature 10–11-year-olds may also be ready, especially if they’re eager to improve and can follow a structured plan.

Our goal is to support a positive relationship with training, not to push kids too early. If your child is excited to train and ready to put in effort, this program will set them up for success.

If your athlete is 14 or older and has some training experience, they might be ready for the full gym version of Off-Season Domination '26, available here.

How Many Days Per Week Will I Need To Train?

Off-Season Domination '26 is built around 3 training sessions per week to deliver real hockey results without taking over your kid's summer.

We also know every week looks different. That’s why we created our Adaptable Scheduling System™, which shows you exactly how to adjust the plan if your child can only train 1 or 2 times per week. So even during busy stretches, they can keep progressing and building momentum.

And if you ever need help? Our team is always available to answer any scheduling questions.

What's The Duration Of This Training Program?

Off-Season Domination '26 is completely customizable to your off-season length. Whether you have 4 weeks, 27 weeks, or anything in between, we provide clear instructions and scheduling guidance to help you get the most out of every phase.

You’ll get step-by-step support to build a plan based on your season start date, availability, and goals, so no time is wasted, and no progress is left on the table.

Each workout lasts about 40–70 minutes, including warm-up and cool down.

What If My Kid Plays Other Sports in the Summer? Will This Be Too Much?

Not at all! We fully support multi-sport athletes, and Off-Season Domination '26 was built with that in mind. The program includes a flexible scheduling system that makes it easy to adjust based on your child’s other activities.

Inside the member’s area, you'll find clear instructions on how to modify the weekly plan to avoid overload. And if you ever need help tailoring the schedule, our team is just one message away.

What If I Have Summer Skates During the Off-Season? Can I Still Follow This Program?

Absolutely! Off-Season Domination '26 is designed to work seamlessly around your existing ice schedule—whether it’s summer league, camps, or skills sessions.

Our flexible scheduling system helps you integrate training with your on-ice commitments, and we’ve included a step-by-step guide to show you exactly how to make it work based on your weekly routine.

Will I Receive Anything In The Mail?

Nope. This program is 100% online in our app. Fortunately, we are able to offer completely digital programs using today’s internet technology, which has kept costs at a fraction of what they would be otherwise and will give you instant access to the program today.

Once you have signed up, you can access everything in the app or through our website. From there, you can access and download all of the program's material.

How Is This Different From Off-Season Domination '25?

For 2026, Coach Tim has taken Off-Season Domination even further with the new Speed Accelerator™ training system, designed to train the way hockey actually works: short, explosive bursts that win races to the puck.

Here’s what’s new:

30+ New Hockey-Specific Exercises – More variety, more precision, and more game-changing movements to develop explosive on-ice power.

Bigger Focus on Acceleration – Hockey isn't about long sprints. Every phase is built around the 5-, 10-, and 15-yard bursts that actually matter on the ice.

Mobile App Access – Your workouts live in our new app so you can train from anywhere. Prefer paper? PDFs are available to print if that's more your style.

If your player is serious about leveling up this off-season, the 2026 edition is the clear next step.

How Long Will It Take To See Results?

With Speed Accelerator™, most players will start noticing improvements in speed, strength, agility, mobility, and conditioning within the first two weeks.

That early progress builds confidence, but the real transformation comes with consistency. Over the course of the program, those gains will compound, and within a few months, you’ll see your child moving faster, skating stronger, and showing up on the ice with noticeably more explosiveness.

Stick with the plan, and they'll be amazed at how far they come.

What If I'm Not Happy With The Program or Results?

We stand behind Off-Season Domination '26 with our "Faster First Steps" Guarantee because we believe your child deserves a training program that delivers real results and keeps them motivated.

We’re confident you’ll see the difference it makes on and off the ice. But if, after giving it an honest try, you’re not seeing the progress you expected, just reach out within 60 days, and we’ll make it right with a full refund.

Our team is here to support you every step of the way because your child’s development (and enjoyment) matters to us.
